A while ago my dad and I went on a really really fun trip to Virginia! We saw movies, ate well, went to an animal life museum, explored, went bowling, walked around “Farmville”, and so much more! I had a great time! The people my dad did the presentation for were awesome too! They even invited us back! Woohoo! I so want to go.
For my mom’s birthday in September her and my dad stayed at the Marriot Marquis in Atlanta! Little did my mom know that were going to surprise her by showing up! And we did! We had an amazing stay and a wonderful time as a family in Atlanta!

A few nights ago, Ashlyn was in a “playing” mode. So our whole family joined in a game of Hide and Seek. We would all hide, and my dad would count.
Ashlyn wanted to be found, when someone would walk past her and not notice her, she would yell, “You found me!”
It was a great memory, and a great Date with Dad for all of us!

Every other weekend or so, it’s time to cut the grass… it’s never the funnest thing to do. But I HAVE to do it. Every now and then, my Dad will come out and help out a Little. We usually have a few good laughs, and it never ends up boring. Mowing the grass is never my favorite thing to do, neither is any kind of yard work, but doing it as a Date with Dad is always fun.

Recently, my Dad was introduced to a board game called “The Settlers of Catan”. He brought it home, and told me and my friend Sean Kyle to learn the rules, and that he wanted to play this “monopoly killer”.
Sean and I learned the rules. And we set up the game. It started off as an easy round, just trying to get used to the game, and learn it properly. Dad won. So we had a rematch.
The next round was intense. We were getting mad, but laughing our heads off. This was indeed a great Date with Dad. It was an hour of laughing and joking and playing a good board game. We haven’t played in a while, I’m hoping my dad has lost his touch a little… because I’m going to challenge him again…

Last night, Dad and I were scrolling through some movies and randomly decided to watch Tarzan. It was a great movie. We enjoyed it, but were disappointed that Tarzan never did the “tarzan yell”. We watched it till about midnight. It’s always fun watching movies with Dad. We both really get into movies, and some times I’ll find my Dad pretending to block and punch when watching Rocky.

To celebrate my 11th birthday my dad took me to Texas. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge (The hotel with that HUGE waterpark inside). We had a great time! We also got to go to the ICE show. That was also a highlight! I had the best time ever! I love my dates with dad!
Here are some fun pictures of the trip!:

A couple weeks ago our parents called us into their bedroom before family prayers. They surprised us with an opportunity to go to Nashville for the weekend. Of course, we all said yes and had a lot of fun! On the trip we got to stay in a hotel room with 2 floors, a new experience for us. We also got to meet and watch Tony and Rory from America’s got talent- they were the frisbee dog show. Pretty cool! Jake, Josh, and Brooklyn were all able to participate in the dog show. We met some great people, ate great food, and had fun as a family just taking 2 nights off for a little vacation. : ) Brittany Out

Last Halloween Dad and the girls went and bought some pumpkins. They took them home and we all got together to carve them. When I say “we” I mean Dad. We drew our little designs on them and dad carved them. After we carved them we placed them outside on our porch. It was really fun carving pumpkins with Dad,

Last Saturday Dad took the time and loaded us 5 kids in “the big white truck” and took us out to Dunkin Donuts. We ate our dozen of chocolote glazed and chocolate creme filled (personal favorites) on the way to Cinema where Dad treated us to a movie. It was a really fun Saturday and I know we will always remember it! Love you Dad.
